Brand Loyalty: For Growth and $$$

Brand loyalty is if you’re a diehard Apple or Android person. Beefing because you believe your phone takes better photos than another brand.

It’s going to your favorite local sandwich shop, because no one else does a Monte Cristo quite like them.

It’s hiring the same photographer, because they make you feel comfortable and capture your best side every time.

It’s using the same sunscreen, because they’re groovy, they’ve proven they support ocean conservation, and their products have the best scent.

So why do you need brand loyalty?

Brand loyalty creates free promo through word-of-mouth recommendations. It builds trust and connection.

Brand loyalty is lasting.

Brand loyalty makes you $$$.

Ways you can start building brand loyalty:

  • Have great customer service: Respond to questions and concerns. Acknowledge when your business is mentioned or tagged. Be open when there’s a problem.
  • Use your brand strategy: How do you want to be described by your clients and customers? What’s your story? How will you share that story? Who’s your target audience? What are your goals?
  • Address what your audience cares about: Talk about their problems and how your product/service can solve those problems.
  • Be consistent: Your product/service, your content, your brand voice, etc. should be consistent across platforms. Your audience should be able to count on what to expect from you. Surprises should be good, like a higher quality product. It shouldn’t be
  • Know your brand values: Share what’s important to your brand. Your audience should resonate with those values. Knowing those values helps you understand what motivates them.
  • Show off your visual identity: Now you don’t have to blow up your logo and paste it everywhere. You could. But you could also consistently use your brand color palette on your stories, social media graphics, ads, and website. You could edit your photos in a similar style every time. You could use your typography suite consistently. Being consistent with your visual identity helps your audience to recognize your content more quickly.
  • Improve: Don’t be afraid to own up that your service or product could be a little better. Learn from your wins and mistakes to create a more purposeful experience.
